Greetings from Maine. I'm back for a long weekend, just enough time to help pop with some things and visit some friends.
It is weird being in my old bedroom. My dad thought it would be funny to place a Pee-Wee Herman doll next to my bed. Facing me. I just noticed as I type this and I am so freaked out I can barely continue. Oogyoogyoogyuggh.
I just found the most unusual item I've seen in a long time. Now, you may know that I have a deep dislike... nay, hatred, of republicans (in general). I prefer to align myself with the literate and educated. Hell, compassion is even optional. BUT! I have an almost equal disdain for democrats. Case and point: Why Mommy is a Democrat. Obviously, the book is a stupid attempt at making an example of the elitism felt by many democrats. But what most won't notice is that the Web site displays a startling lack of intelligence by having all the text on the pages rendered as IMAGES!! How messed up is that. Go ahead. Try to highlight some text. Stupid, eh?

Looks like work will be taking me to Ann Arbor, MI in a few weeks. Never been to Michigan. Never thought there would be a reason. Oh boy.
In my previous entry, I attacked the Web site of a man who released a book called "Why Mommy is a Democrat." He wrote to me to defend himself. I will say, I was impressed and humbled by his action. I now understand what his reasoning and expectations were for the book. It assumes very little of the reader - children don't understand politics. I still think they shouldn't. Though I do understand more now... I'm still not letting him off the hook for the Web design :-)

I finally saw a specialist to find out why my head has been hurting so very much for so very long. It turns out I've got this terrible sinus infection that I've not treated correctly for a couple of years now. It just keeps coming and going, never completely going. So now I have pills and sprays and a creepy little sinus irrigation kit. I don't take well to pills, so strange things are leaving my body at astonishing speeds. Gross. This better work.
Holy cows! The middle east is going to implode! Way to go, Bush! We got tired of the horrors in Iraq, time for some fresh blood. No pun intended.
When will people wake up.
