Apparently it is illegal in Maryland to have anything covering your license plates. One day after putting my new PhantomPlate PhotoShields on El Hefe I got pulled over. Uggh.

Also, my body is falling apart. My heart has been unusually obnoxious lately, I've been constantly nauseous and my headaches have gotten to the point where I want to drill a hole in my skull and drain out the misery. Time to call Dr. Drew (my general practice doctor looks like Dr. Drew... creepy but damn good).

The other day I took a different route to work. I passed my usual Pennsylvania Ave. exit off 295 south and continued to my old neighborhood off So. Capitol Drive (SE/SW DC). The new National's Stadium is rather impressive. They steamrolled the ghetto and the blight and started over. I don't remember where I was going with that story.

I won my case about the camera tickets! I went with a defense nobody else has used. I merely pointed out that because the contractor hired to install and calibrate the DC radar cameras gets a set amount of money per ticket issued, there was hence a financial incentive for them to intentionally manipulate the readings for profit. She didn't want to deal with such a case, and just dismissed it. She was a rather nice person, and I spoke with her afterwords. Told me I have a nice disposition. Don't get me wrong, I still have contempt for the police, but I also know the difference between right and wrong.

This is the freezer at work. It would appear that the only thing these people eat are Klondike bars. The photo here shows a "low" stock. I must also mention that the refrigerator smells like somebody sold it to the devil.

On my way to work the other morning I noticed this new ad along New York Avenue. It says "Honk if you're happy." This is a miserable congested stretch of traffic leading to downtown DC... full of road rage. I heard not one horn. This is quite unusual. I think they stopped honking on purpose to make a point.

Two years since John... passed. Still hard. And hard to believe.

I'm considering a career shift. Same field, different focus, favorite agency. Had a very good offer for something, closer too. Stay tuned.

One more thing. I feel like I'm being followed by a team of ghosts. No one in particular, just a fleet representing past, present and future experiences and people. I drag a lot of chains around. They're getting harder to pull.
