It sure has been a while since you last heard from me. Here's a long one to catch you up.
Since I have a small amount of extra time, I figured I'd toss this site back up. Besides, it gives me something to look forward to, and keeps me in touch. Remember, you are my faceless support group (well, most of you).
Many thanks to my international fan base for the emails and request to be on the mailing list. Soon enough this site will be featuring more than my captain's log.
On a personal level, I became single again on Feb 14 (Valentine's Day). Stupid holiday. Since then my schedule has been sleep 8am-1pm, stare out my bedroom window 1pm-5pm, eat, work 6pm-1am, write music 1am-3am and stare out my bedroom window 3am-8am.
I've been a little down, yes. But I had a strange epiphany today. As I was working under my Jeep hoping the jack would fail, I realized that my life isn't that bad. I don't know why yet, and I know it won't help my sleep or appetite - but there is something to it. Also, at the record store today a couple folks I didn't know asked me if I was going to be performing again any time soon. That was a nice ego boost. I didn't think that many people would recognized me for music since I stopped playing out.
Oh yeah! Jon is back from Africa and we're going to visit Aaron in Mass. this weekend. I guess the fresh air will be good to me.
Another oh yeah! My neighbor was arrested for killing her 22 month old son last week. I've been interviewed by detectives and television news personalities. Crazy.

I think I'm slowly entering society again. I haven't felt this positive and excited in a while. I bought a bunch of CDs (some people are motivated by drugs, others money, myself - it's just good music) and actually took a shower. I've been focused on learning new technologies to apply to my new business venture - such as XML, J2EE, TCP segment analysis and Oracle9iAS. I'm preparing legal documentation to convert my company, Procyon Software, to an LLC under the State of Maine guidelines. Hopefully if I flee the state it will be simple to transfer... somehow. DC has some sensitive rules for businesses. I also started the Maine chapter of 2600 with an associate yesterday - and we're starting a Web site for it going up soon (me2600.org). Should be fun. Finally, I'm working on booking a trip to Def Con 11 in Las Vegas. Damn I'm a busy boy.

Hey kids. Good news... the braces are coming off next month! Well, they were supposed to come off this month but my dumb-ass self planned a snowboarding trip that ran over the scheduled day. I'm so very very ready to have a metal-free mouth.
So today I went for my monthly medication run to RiteAid. I got to see how much it cost to live without medical insurance. As you may know, I got these pesky health problems... like my heart not wanting to beat without the aid of a pacemaker and lots of pills. Turns out my pills cost about $8/day without insurance. That sucks ass. Thankfully I can continue my medical coverage for so many months for a medium chunk of cash, while I'm doing consulting services and working on my own business. Soon enough I can get a better program. Unless I bow to the system and decide to take one of the offers I've had, or will have. Just waiting for the big one!

What a long day... err... night? Anyway. It was an unusually busy day on the recruitment front. Fielded quite a few calls and emails regarding potential employers. Looks like I'll be leaving the state for some interviews next week. I had to skip class because of negotiations with this NYC based company (UGO.com). Looks promising. All that aside, I'm pretty damn glad I turned down UnumProvident... hahaha, their stock was classified today as junk bonds. I sense the axe for some folks over there.
Tomorrow (ehem, today) is my friend Jon's birthday. Sshhh, don't ruin the surprise party. Aaron is coming up this weekend instead of our going down (Amherst, MA). That should be fun.
I need to be up by 11am today folks - I got a busy day! If you're reading this, and you have my phone number, and I don't hate you, give me a wake up call around that time. Lord knows I can't wake up before 3pm anymore no matter how many alarms I carefully place around my room!

Oh m'god what a wierd day. First, I went to the post office. Not unusual, however as with most things in my life something has to happen. I let this car out first so I could park. As I get out, I hear a crash. The car was slammed into at the intersection by a truck. Strange thing, I was going to put off my stop but decided last minute to go. That could have been me. Creepy.
Second, Jon's birthday was a blast! We commandeered the Eveningstar Cinema and watched Cutthroat Island (our friends work there, strings were pulled... yadayada). Some folks were dressed as pirates, we had party hats (see Randycam for today), I played a piano/vocal performance in memory of my dearly departed fish Prof. Sucksalot (algae eater, ate too much algae - mildly retarded), and other activities. And this afternoon I finally got a haircut... at SuperCuts! They're cool, good & cheap. Highly recommended for guys like myself with no money or fashion sense.
Notes to Evan and Aaron: Evan, your room smells gay. Aaron, I heard you finally washed. Even though it was only your feet I think it's wonderful. Go for the legs, work your way up! :-) See you this weekend you dirty bastard.

Portland PD you suck. Tickets are supposed to be given to people who park under the red sign that says "no parking" not the green sign that says "2 hour parking". Friggin idiots. No parking zone... stupid academy reject meter maid golf cart driving GED failing no future hick.
Some of you may have noticed email responses from me. I've been playing catch up. I've owed some people a response for over 3 months now. What can I say - I lack discipline.

Bombs bombs & bombs. It has begun. As the sun rises in Iraq so does the Bush Real Estate Agency. I hope I can get some Baghdad office space when its done. At least a time-share or something. But seriously, I hate war. It sucks, and people die. But come on, so does a government that kills their own people. Have you read some of the nasty things Saddam has done? Kill him, help form a new government and let's move on. Key word: help. Let's not make it a province of the USA.
Speaking of foreign countries, check this out. I applied to work and live on the Principality of Sealand - offshore of England. I'd explain what it is, but you should check it out for yourself. I think that would be the coolest place in the world to live.
Folks I need your help. I've narrowed my relocation down to either NYC or Washington DC. Before I establish my company as an LLC I'd like to be sure of where it will be based. Maine is nice, but I'm sorry to say it is not filled with the brightest people (technically speaking). This is a big step and an awesome opportunity, so I don't want to mess it up. Please, e-mail me your opinions!

Today I went to school and then went to the Portland Museum of Art. I was quite excited to see a collection of prints by George Grosz. If you have the time and resources, look up his stuff. Simply amazing. The same can be said about Sebastiao Salgado's photography. You'll look at the world from a slightly different angle after viewing these works.
Afterwords I met with some friends. Aaron brought a girl home from college. She is very nice, and Aaron deserves that. I just hope she doesn't wreck him.
My feelings pertaining to the war are becoming mixed. I was so scared earlier. Someone mentioned that 2 of the Marines killed today had connections to Maine. I thought of Alex, freaked out and ran to the nearest computer to gather names. War is so easy for Americans because we've never lost - we don't understand the true impact and devastation. Thankfully Alex is ok, but until you've thought, even for a second, that someone you care about may have been killed in a war it doesn't really scare you. Then again, think of those whose whole families will be gone tomorrow because of a bomb. As soon as our soldiers return our government will forget them - and this will be another page in a history book. Politics... makes me shake with fear sometimes.

I love snowboarding! Sunday River is an awesome place - I highly recommend it. The people are great, slopes are amazing and luckily, the weather was perfect (I'm now a darker shade of sickly pale). I met some really nice people, from Sam (fellow snowboarder) to a few girls from South Africa (cool accents, thought they were Australian though). So, I found yet another passion - and plan to do lots more snowboarding next year.
This is the sign I encountered at the junction of routes 5 and 35 in Lynchville, Maine. You may of heard of it. It's pretty cool.

Portland PD you suck... again! Enough with the tickets already. OK, so I shouldn't be in a 15 minute zone for 2.5 hours, so what?! Leaches.
Oooh I've got a headache. Nothing new there. Today was hot! Like 55°F this afternoon. Good thing I stayed inside and worked all day. I have some local interviews next week - damn people keep trying to keep me in Maine. We'll see. I'm a whore, and the folks with the most $$$ will win my talent.
I heard the street sweepers out there today and you know what that means - my skateboard is back in action! Woohoo! Randy rides again. Feels like it's been forever. I haven't spilled blood in so long, time to get back on the wagon.
